Rozi-Roti, Craft & a Little Help from AI

Indha’s intention has always been simple: create livelihood through handmade work and promote India’s craft.
Yet the truth is—much of the handicraft industry struggles, not because the craft is weak, but because reach and marketing are tough.
Technology has solved many things. Instagram today is full of artisans from remote corners of India finding their audience. And I’m learning too—sometimes you hold the needle, sometimes you hold the phone.
These cotton totes and retro hand-embroidery pieces have been raved about by many millennials and Gen Z. Somehow, they make Indians look at India in a new light—fresh, contemporary, and proud.

What I love is this: each piece is unique. Its little “aberrations” become fashion. Upcycling fabric becomes art. And most importantly—it looks cool and sustainable.
Recently, we also tried something new: using AI models to showcase Indha’s bags. Not to replace real photography—products still need high-resolution images—but to help us learn and show how the bag looks on a person. That part became a real support, and yes, a learning curve.

We are seizing this moment because for many families connected to this work, it is simply rozi-roti ka sawal.
Hope you enjoy the craft as much as we enjoy putting it together. 🌿🧵
